Quinta de Lemos, Dona Santana 2006, Dão, Portugal
Tasting Note: A red blend from Portugal with alluring, aromatic black fruit and depth that would please those who enjoy a robust red.
Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blackberry, fig, black currant, red plum, crushed-dried violet petal and black cherry with hints of vanilla baking spice.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied red blend has medium-plus-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin.
There is depth of flavor and midpalate complexity that is enjoyable.
Bottle Note: 50% Touriga Nacional, 50% Tinta Roriz.
