Quinta do Zambujeiro, Monte do Zambujeiro 2014, Vinho Regional Alentejo, Portugal
Tasting Note: This wine presents a brilliant plushness married with a floral, summer-field blend bouquet.
Medium-to-deep intensity ruby in color, this wine has a nose of violet, lavender, black plum and gardenia.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied wine has a silky mouthfeel with glimmers of concentrated floral aromatics weaved throughout.
The wine is medium-plus in acidity with bright fruit.
Bottle Note: A classic red wine made with the typical Portuguese grapes Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Tinta Caiada, Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira and Petite Verdot. Produced on Quinta do Zambujeiro in the region of Borba (Portugal) this wine was made from grapes grown on schist soil, completely handcrafted and carefully aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. It shows a nice bouquet of red fruit and flowers with hints of spices and has a balanced medium structure.
