River Road Family Vineyards, Unoaked Sur Lie Aged Reserve Chardonnay 2020, California

Tasting Note: A sur-lie-aged chardonnay which means it rested on the lees and had more contact with the yeast to infuse the wine.

Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of green apple, starfruit, white-rose petal, bosc pear and lemon citrus.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied chardonnay has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a medium-plus finish.

The wine is straightforward and good in its dimension.

A good everyday chardonnay to open up without thinking when you come home from work.

Bottle Note: Sur Lie which translates to “on the lees” is the aging process used to capture this richer and fuller-bodied unoaked chardonnay. Balanced with flavors of citrus and stone fruit. Winemaker Ed Morris has created a beautiful experience with this 100% stainless steel wine.
