Savina Lane, Petit Manseng 2018, Granite Belt, Queensland, Australia
Tasting Note: An elegant petit manseng with lovely floral aromas and a structured body.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of white nectarine, green-apple compote, honeysuckle, blossom and quince.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied petit manseng has a creamy texture with medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a long, lemon-citrus-infused finish.
Bottle Note: Handpicked, handcrafted, limited production, single vineyard. Only 1,300 bottles produced. Whiffs of white peach and jasmine with notes of dried apricots and funky barrel ferment nuances. Textural decadence peers through silky smooth cream flavors from intense barrel lees stirring, complemented by bright rich stone fruit characters. A legendary aromatic white variety with origins in the cooler Pyrenees region of southwest France. Pairs well with many Asian dishes and all seafood. Perfect with summer salads. Serve between 10°-13°C.
