Sébastien Dampt, Les Beugnons Premier Cru Chablis 2015, Burgundy, France
Tasting Note: A medium-throttle, premier cru Chablis with characteristic minerality and precision.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of crushed shells, green pear, quince, lemon, flint, lemon-citrus zest and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied chardonnay has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium finish.
The wine is steely in texture and mostly straightforward in flavor profile.
An ideal pairing with seafood including the lobster tails I’m enjoying this evening.
