Silver Thread Vineyard, Pinot Noir 2013, Finger Lakes, New York
Tasting Note: If you like thin, watery, barely-there pinot noir, this is your bottle.
This ruby-colored pinot noir has a nose of vanilla, clove and strawberry jam.
On the palate the light-bodied, dry red presents hollow red fruit that swims in a watery milieu.
Medium sour acidity is the only defining flavor characteristic that rises unceremoniously above notice and that chimes in mid palate petering out with a short finish.
Quaffable.
Bottle Note: Silver Thread Vineyard creates expressive, age-worthy wines in harmony with nature. Our boutique winery and sustainably-managed vineyard are located on the east side of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes of New York. The turtle image on our label is an earth symbol to the Iroquois people and reminds us to care for the land and water that give us the gift of wine.
