Sunce Winery & Vineyard, Clone 777 Pinot Noir 2012, Single Vineyard Select, Russian River Valley, California
Tasting Note: A pinot noir that is bursting with just-ripened fruit and entrancing aromatics.
Medium-intensity ruby in color with garnet around the edges, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red plum, strawberry, red cherry, bramble, blossom and potpourri.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied wine has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus-acidity and slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin.
There is midpalate complexity and medium-plus length on the finish.
Shows heights that American pinot noir can reach.
