TerraNoble CA1 Andes Carmenere 2017 – Soft Edges with a Decidedly Red-Fruit Character

TerraNoble, CA1 Andes Carmenere 2017, Colchagua Valley, Chile

Tasting Note: A silky Chilean carmenere with a decidedly red-fruit character.

Medium-to-deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red currant, red plum, cranberry, pomegranate, rosehip and red cherry.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied carmenere has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and well-integrated medium tannin.

If you served this wine to me and told me it was merlot, I would believe you.

The wine has soft edges that make it easy to have another glass.

A carmenere to serve with poultry and thinly-cut slices of red meat.

Bottle Note: Grown in the warm Andes foothills of Colchagua Valley, CA1 presents great character, with intense aromas of ripe fruit. Round tannins together with the lush concentration of fruit on the palate reveal a great expression of carmenere with Andean influence.
