Tierra Divina Old Vine Malbec 2012 – Perfect for Wiping Your Palate Clean

Tierra Divina, Old Vine Malbec 2012, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina, Wine Casual

Tierra Divina, Old Vine Malbec 2012, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina

Tasting Note: Cherry and blackberry aromas pervade this wine which is inky black in color with medium-wide legs.

This malbec is multi-dimensional in taste with the fruit in the lead and the acidity showing itself at the finish.

I enjoy acidity, and this wine pleases by wiping my palate clean just the way I like it after enjoying chicken schnitzel for dinner.

Make sure to serve at room temperature. I pulled it out of the basement and served it too cold and the acidity only made itself apparent when the wine came up to room temperature.

Bottle Note: Deep in the Valle de Uco lie two remarkable vineyards. Both sustain ancient and low-yielding vines on the high, rocky plains of the Andes, far south in Mendoza. One yields black fruit of great concentration and depth; the other is more graceful and supple. Both are farmed sustainably to ensure purity of aroma and intensity of flavor. Together they create Tierra Divina: a delicious, exotic, and deeply complex malbec that matches with roast chicken, hearty pastas, and grilled meats.
