Ulrich Langguth, Dry Riesling Sekt, Germany
Tasting Note: If you’ve never experienced sparkling riesling, give yourself the benefit of this German Sekt which would perform and fit well in many a setting.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has large bubbles and an aromatic nose of peach, apricot, green apple, pear, blossom, petrol and lemon citrus peel.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied sparkling riesling delivers fresh, ripe-fruit flavors suggested on the nose backed by high acidity and medium-plus flavor intensity.
The wine is bright, young, straightforward and delicious in its dimension.
Just the sort of thing to open up when you walk through the door on a summer’s day to enjoy without overthinking.
I plan to get more for summer!
Bottle Note: This elegant Art Nouveau label is a brand of Ulrich Langguth. It is also typical for the village of the U. Langguth Family, Traben-Trarbach/Mosel. This Sekt is made from 100% riesling grapes. It’s balanced acidity provides a crisp, refreshing and approachable dry style taste.
