Union Sacré, Squire Pinot Noir 2016, Kick on Ranch Vineyard, Santa Barbara County, California
Tasting Note: A vibrant Santa Barbara pinot noir with the loveliest potpourri of floral and red-fruit flavors.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red plum, strawberry blossom, raspberry puree, cranberry, rhubarb and red cherry.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied pinot noir delivers fresh, just-ripened, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and soft, medium-tannin.
There is midpalate complexity, balance and there-there.
A pinot noir that embodies Santa Barbara’s ability to provide vivacious restraint.
Bottle Note: 185 Cases Made. Made by two friends from two continents and two different traditions, Union Sacré is an homage to beauty’s strange ways.
