Urium, Palo Cortado Sherry VORS, Andalucía, Spain
Tasting Note: An aged Palo Cortado that shows the greatness that Palo Cortado Sherry can reach.
Deep-intensity amber in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of brioche, freshly-baked bread, butter, rancio, toasted walnuts and almonds.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Palo Cortado Sherry has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose completing with a yeasty, medium-plus finish.
The midpalate is rich and complex.
The Fino character has faded with age as the wine leans in towards an Amontillado character at this point in its development.
