Vallado, Touriga Nacional 2017, Douro, Portugal
Tasting Note: Touriga Nacional is a Portuguese grape that impresses with its depth of flavor, concentration and intensity, and this bottle is no exception.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blackberry jam, black plum, raspberry puree, red currant, violet and rosehip.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied Touriga Nacional is brimming with medium-plus-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity, and velvety, medium-plus tannin ultimately completing with a medium-plus finish.
Complexity shines across the midpalate coupled with lovely, perfumed aromatics.
A bottle to slow down and enjoy.
