Vietti, Roero Arneis DOCG 2016, Piemonte, Italy
Tasting Note: For those of you who don’t enjoy acidity you’ll find a winner in white wines from Arneis.
Pale-intensity lemon in color this wine has a nose of apricot, slightly-overripe golden pear and lemon citrus.
On the palate the wine is dry, medium-plus bodied, with medium-intensity flavors of green and yellow fruit suggested on the nose.
Like many Arneis whites, acidity is medium and can at times be out of balance with the wine’s overall substantial weight.
This wine is perfect for you if you abhor acidity and adore weight and body.
Bottle Note: With the 2016 vintage, our Roero Arneis celebrates its first extraordinary fifty years since Alfredo Currado first gave it life. Five fundamental decades for the story of quality wines, a time packed with changes in which our objective has always been and always will be to find a coherent line between the land and the wine, while respecting the values handed down to us. -The Vietti Family. Unfiltered.
