Viu Manent, Secreto Sauvignon Blanc 2017, Casablanca, Chile
Tasting Note: Chilean sauvignon blancs from Secreto continually impress, and this latest vintage is no exception.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a pronounced-intensity, aromatic nose of grapefruit, orange peel, lemon citrus, passion fruit, melon and nectarine.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied sauvignon blanc delivers medium-plus-intensity, ripe-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a citrus-infused, medium-plus finish.
The wine is steely in texture and refreshing on the palate.
There is balance and midpalate complexity.
