Vox Vineti, Petit Verdot 2016, Galloping Cat Vineyard, Pennsylvania
Tasting Note: Petit verdot made in an elegant, silky, complex, yet-accessible style.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of raspberry puree, blackberry, black plum and dried-crushed violet with hints of bramble and cedar.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied petit verdot has medium-plus flavor intensity supported by medium acidity and silky, medium tannin.
Midpalate complexity abounds but in a reserved and restrained manner that is reminiscent of old-world wine.
Reserve petit verdot to share with friends.
