Weingut S.A. Prüm, Luminance Dry Riesling 2013, Mosel, France
Tasting Note: Dry Mosel riesling is one of life’s pleasures (especially for my other high acidity adorers out there like me).
Pale-intensity lemon in color this wine has an aromatic nose of pear, green apple and lemon citrus.
On the palate the decidedly dry, medium-bodied wine shows angular, high acidity accompanied by flavors suggested on the nose.
The wine balances acidity and fruit fantastically capturing the Mosel riesling’s salient characteristic of being at once sharp and pin-point focused on your tongue with dry fruit flavors.
Bottle Note: S.A. Prüm is a family-owned estate nestled on the banks of Germany’s serene Mosel River, at the heart of the country’s celebrated Mosel growing region. Here the Prüm family has been cultivating vines for over 200 years. Luminance is harvested from some of the region’s top vineyard sites. The fresh fruit flavor of this dry riesling is perfectly balanced by a racy mineral character, making it the ideal accompaniment to a range of cuisines.
