Willm, Reserve Riesling 2015, Alsace, France
Tasting Note: An Alsatian riesling with weight, body and lazy-afternoon summer sunlight all swirled together into one delicious and delightful elixir.
Golden in color this wine has an aromatic nose of honeysuckle, yellow apple, overripe pear with notes of apricot.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied riesling echoes the ripe green and golden fruit on the nose underpinned by lemon-lime and medium-plus acidity.
A riesling that’s dripping in flavor with enticing aromatics that you can reliably depend on to please.
Bottle Note: The Willm vineyard, combining Grand Gru Kirchberg de Barr and the well-known Clos Gaensbroennel, was planted in Barr in 1896. Dry and racy, blending the delicate aromas of white flowers with the intense citrus flavors, riesling is perfect with seafood platters, sushis, fishes and poultry.
