Willm, Reserve Riesling 2016, Alsace, France
Tasting Note: A cooler-vintage Willm Riesling with more tart fruit than the 2015 vintage.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of lemon-citrus peel, green apple, quince, green pear, blossom and honeydew melon.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied riesling delivers medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and tart, green fruit on the medium finish.
There is balance and a straightforward riesling profile.

Bottle Note: The Willm vineyard, combining Grand Cru Kirchberg de Barr and the well-known Clos Gaensbroennel, was planted in Barr in 1896. Dry and racy, blending the delicate aromas of white flowers with the intense citrus flavors. Riesling is perfect with seafood platters, sushis, fishes and poultry.
