Zephros, Syrah 2009, Wahluke Slope, Cougar Vineyard, Washington
Tasting Note: A serious, focused, earthy syrah that makes a statement and delights your senses.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has a pronounced-intensity, aromatic nose of black plum, black cherry, kirsch, blackberry, violet and vanilla baking spice.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied syrah abounds with concentrated, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, velvety, high tannin.
The wine is smooth and plush in texture and has midpalate complexity that completes with a medium-plus finish.
A syrah that could stand up to a steak and more.
Bottle Note: Our wines are exclusively sourced and selected from the heart of premium Washington state wine country and crafted with great care to produce a wine that fully expresses our unique terroir.
