Zorgvliet, Cabernet Franc Rosé 2017, Banghoek, South Africa
Tasting Note: A fresh cabernet franc rosé with more depth than your typical rosé.
Medium-intensity salmon in color, this wine has a nose of strawberry, graphite and red cherry.
On the palate, the dry, medium-bodied cabernet franc has flavors suggested on the nose along with rose petal and blossom.
The wine is medium-plus in acidity with bright, red fruit flavors.
There are some notes of mid-palate complexity as well as balance between the fruit and acidity.
Bottle Note: White winemaking methods were used to capture the intrinsic character of the red cabernet franc grape. The gently crushed grape skins were allowed to soak for a short while, resulting in the beautiful salmon-pink color. Aromas of rose petals, jasmine and raspberry are followed by a smooth and crisp texture on the palate. Enjoy in the open air.
