Don Benigno, Amontillado Sherry, Jerez, Spain, Wine Casual

Don Benigno, Amontillado Sherry, Jerez, Spain

Tasting Note: A medium-sweet Amontillado Sherry that combines aromas and flavors of biological and oxidative aging.

Medium-intensity amber in color, this wine has a medium-plus-intensity nose of toasted almonds, brioche, blossom, bread dough and caramel.

On the palate the medium-sweet, full-bodied Amontillado Sherry is creamy in texture with flavors suggested on the nose along with dried apple.

The wine is good in quality but lacks flavor concentration to be very good.

Bottle Note: This amontillado sherry is a result of a long maturing process in the traditional “Solera” system and has an amber color, a full body, and a rich amontillado flavor. It is perfect as an aperitif or may be served with soup, any mushroom dish, ham or turkey. Produced and bottled by Pedro Rodriguez e Hijos, shippers of fine sherries in Sanlucar de Barrameda, Spain since 1821.
