A. Diehl, Eins Zu Eins Spätburgunder 2016, Pfalz, Germany
Tasting Note: A good, entry-level spätburgunder (pinot noir) with some mid-palate concentration.
Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of strawberry, red plum, raspberry and violet petal.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied wine delivers dark, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, slightly-grippy, medium tannin.
There is some flavor concentration in the mid-palate, and the wine is mostly creamy in texture.
