Adega de Portalegre, Conventual Reserva Branco 2018, Alentejo, Portugal
Tasting Note: An Alentejo white blend with a lively nose of orchard fruit.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic medium-plus-intensity nose of lemon-citrus, limestone dust, pineapple, honey dew melon, papaya, white peach and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied white blend has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium finish.
There are hints of tartness on the midpalate even as the wine is mostly straightforward in taste profile.
A good, low-alcohol, white Alentejo blend.
Bottle Note: From the foothills of Serra de São Mamede mountains, at more than 600 meters high, came from the grapes Roupeiro, Bical, Arinto, Fernão Pires among others to make this unique wine. Nose with citrus fruits, dominated by tangerine and lime, mineral notes, spices and fine hints of beeswax and brioche. Mouth of a voluminous and succulent character but with freshness and tension in a long after taste. 40% Arinto, 20% Fernão Pires, 20% Roupeiro, 20% Bical.
