Amisfield, Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Central Otago, New Zealand
Tasting Note: A sauvignon blanc that is unlike most New Zealand sauvignon blancs you’ve experienced.
This sauvignon blanc channels the Loire and white Bordeaux.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, pronounced-intensity nose of kiwi, freshly-cut grass, passionfruit and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied sauvignon blanc has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose with a slightly-creamy texture along with white nectarine.
Bottle Note: Amisfield Estate is our place beneath the dramatic, glacially sculptured Pisa mountain range in Central Otago. Our unique terroir and unforgiving environment produces wines of remarkable purity, intensity and vibrancy. Harvested in three parcels, fermented in tank and French barriques. Tropical fruit, grapefruit, lively acidity and refined minerality.
