Beast, Wildebeest Red Wine 2013, Columbia Valley, Washington
Tasting Note: A full-bodied red blend with balance and a pleasing finish.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has a pronounced and enveloping-aromatic nose of black currant, black plum, kirsch, forest floor and freshly-opened violet blossom.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied red blend delivers black fruit with mid-palate concentration and some complexity and grippy, medium-plus tannin.
If this wine was in high school, it’d be a hunky football player who enjoys conversations and whose GPA is better than average.
Bottle Note: We offer this Beast with a wink. We tracked Wildebeest into the heart of the vines, enamored by his sleek form, and plucked him from the field. Prized for his tremendous substance, Wildebeest is a great catch. Beast takes shape as a fine, handmade wines with character from Walla Walla – created with a sense of intrigue and adventure. Cheers!
