Bellwether, Cherry Street Hard Cider, New York
Tasting Note: A cherry-apple cider that tastes like Christmas.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this cider has a nose of red cherry, green apple and cinnamon baking spice.
On the palate the slightly off-dry, medium-bodied, petillant cider delivers bright fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity.
There is balance between the fruit and acidity and red fruit flavors that channel holiday, baking aromas.
Prost!
Bottle Note: A semi-sweet, sparkling cider made from a variety of New York grown apples and Montmorency cherries. A crisp apple taste on the front end gives way to the spectacular tartness of sour cherry on the finish. Naturally gluten free. Bellwether is a small, family-owned winery.
