Lange Estate Winery and Vineyards, Pinot Gris 2015, Willamette Valley, Oregon
Tasting Note: A Willamette pinot gris that oozes green fruit.
Pale-intensity lemon in color this wine has a nose of pear, green apple and lemon zest.
On the palate the dry, slightly petillant, medium-bodied pinot gris echoes flavors suggested on the nose along with slightly under-ripe, green-fruit flavors.
There are some notes of mid-palate complexity even as the stainless-steel aged wine is mostly straight forward in flavor.
Bottle Note: Established in 1987 atop the highly acclaimed Dundee Hills, Lange Estate Winery produces the finest cool-climate varietals from Oregon’s North Willamette Valley – pinot noir, pinot gris and chardonnay. By sourcing fruit from premier vineyards and using minimal handling in the cellar, Lange Estate Winery produces wines of exceptional balance, complexity, and elegance.
