Bellwether Wine Cellars Tuller Vineyard Riesling 2013 – You’d Swear it was Alsacian

Tasting Note: If you were served this riesling you’d probably guess it was from Alsace – but it’s impressively produced in the New York Finger Lakes.

Medium-intensity lemon in color this wine has a pronounced, aromatic nose of green pear, lemon citrus, petrol and white blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied riesling presents flavor complexity to match that suggested on the nose.

The layers and depth of flavor intensity is suggestive of indigenous-yeast fermentation which this winery uses for some of its lineup.

High acidity is in balance with the fruit producing a highly-enjoyable tasting experience.

I’m buying more!
