Black Hog, Ginga’ Ninja Red India Pale Ale-Brewed Beer with Fresh Ginger, Connecticut
Tasting Note: If this Ginga Ninja pale ale was a wine, it would be a standout, flavorsome rosé.
Amber-salmon in color, this beer has a medium-plus-intensity nose of red apple, ginger, sweet grass, lemon citrus and passionfruit.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied pale ale delivers medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose with a smooth, creamy texture and a light sprinkling of hops on the medium-plus finish.
The beer has flavor intensity, complexity along the midpalate and brightness that is advanced by the ginger.
A wine lover’s beer.
Bottle Note: Once upon a time there was a young brew master who fell in love with a ginger-haired maiden. He loved her fiery locks, quick wit and Samurai sharp personality. He proposed marriage and crafted a beer for her – an original red ale brewed with fresh ginger and a touch of hoppiness typified her personality. When she took her first sip at their wedding she knew she had made the right choice. Tyler’s Ginga Ninja Red IPA is brewed with 6 lbs of fresh ginger in every batch. Cheers! Tom, Jason and Tyler.
