Bodegas Los Toneles, Tonel 78 Barrel Select Malbec-Bonarda 2013, Mendoza, Argentina
Tasting Note: Malbec and Bonarda are the two top red grapes of Argentina in terms of production, and this wine reveals the two varietals in equal proportion in one bottle where the magic of the blend reveals its genius.
Medium tending towards deep intensity ruby in color this wine has a pronounced, aromatic nose of raspberry, violet, red plum and black currant.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied malbec and bonarda blend echoes ripe red and black fruit suggested on the nose with medium-plus flavor intensity and, velvety, medium-plus tannin.
There is mid-palate complexity and balance between the fruit and medium acidity.

Bottle Note: 50% Malbec. 50% Bonarda. Using selected grapes of each harvest we produce this unique blend. As the mythical team that in 1978 supported by the passion of its people, achieved the first big joy for a country that loves wine as much as soccer. Tonel 78 is a tribute to that great team that raised us to the top of the world.
