Camberley Cabernet Franc 2014 – The Softer Side of Cab Franc

Camberley, Cabernet Franc 2014, Stellenbosch, South Africa, Wine Casual

Camberley, Cabernet Franc 2014, Stellenbosch, South Africa

Tasting Note: Oh South Africa, you do impress and surprise.

This wine presents the softer side of cabernet franc without the potent, green, cold-climate elements for which Loire cabernet franc is known.

Deep-intensity ruby in color this wine has a nose of red plum, pencil shavings, damp forest floor, violet white blossom with hints of mushroom.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied cabernet franc is supple with riper-leaning black fruit flavors.
