Tasting Note: Alicante, Spain area of Spain is famous for producing monastrell (mourvédre) which requires hot temperatures to ripen fully.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of raspberry, black plum, bramble, violet and clove and cinnamon baking spice.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied monastrell expresses flavors suggested on the nose along with blackberry and blueberry fruit.

The wine is medium in acidity with grippy, ripe, medium-plus tannin and flavor intensity.

The wine is good in quality, but could have more flavor concentration and midpalate complexity.
