Casa Pedro Domecq XA Vino Blanco – A Ripe-Fruit, Chardonnay-and-Semillon White Blend

Casa Pedro Domecq, XA Vino Blanco, Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico, Wine Casual

Casa Pedro Domecq, XA Vino Blanco, Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico

Tasting Note: A ripe-fruit, chardonnay-and-semillon white blend that is round and robust on the palate.

Medium-intensity gold in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of golden apple, ripe bosc pear, quince and blossom.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied wine has medium-plus-intensity, golden-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium-plus finish.

The wine is slightly-creamy texture with orange-citrus and white peach stone fruit hints.

I wasn’t expecting this blend from Mexico.

I’m especially pleased with what sémillon adds to the blend.

Bottle Note: Varieties – Chardonnay, Semillon.
