Casale Marchese, Frascati Superiore DOCG 2015, Lazio, Italy, Wine Casual

Casale Marchese, Frascati Superiore DOCG 2015, Lazio, Italy

Tasting Note: Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a nose of pear, apricot, orange peel and honeysuckle.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied white wine is steely in texture and is medium-plus in acidity, flavor intensity and flavor concentration.

The wine is good in quality because of the balance of its fruit and acidity.

Bottle Note: The ancient Casale Marchese estate is first mentioned in a bull issued by Pope Boniface VIII, on 12 May 1301. The Casale is also remembered as the home of marquis Emilio de’ Cavalieri (1550-1602), a famous musician. The estate covers over 130 acres and overlooks an enchanting green hillside.
