Cathedral Ridge Syrah 2017- An Expressive Syrah with Subtlety

Cathedral Ridge, Syrah 2017, Columbia Valley, Oregon, Wine Casual

Cathedral Ridge, Syrah 2017, Columbia Valley, Oregon

Tasting Note: An expressive syrah with a subtlety that is eminently accessible.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blackberry, red currant, black cherry and violet.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied syrah has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and well-integrated medium tannin.

Bottle Note: Sourced from Moody Vineyard at the mouth of the Deschutes River in Reid Vineyard 10 miles further east, comes a deep-bodied and bountiful wine. Complex yet silky our syrah was aged 24 months for softened tannins and good structure. It exudes freshly ground pepper and ripe blackberries on the nose with a supple palate and lingering finish making it the perfect steak wine. We vinify our wines to embrace flavors of the Columbia Gorge region, and are best enjoyed with family and friends. 225 cases.
