Tasting Note: An easy-drinking northern Rhone, Crozes-Hermitage syrah.

Deep ruby in color this wine has an earthy nose of black fruit including blackberry, black currant and red plum combined with notes of lightly-toasted vanilla.

On the palate, the dry, medium-plus-bodied syrah is smooth with black-fruit flavors and medium tannin.

Bottle Note: Flagship of the Cave de Tain l’Hermitage, produced exclusively from Syrah grapes grown on alluvial granite plains. Classic vinification followed by ageing in oak barrels for 6 months. A well-balanced wine, full flavored and supple, with jammy red fruits and overtones of liquorice and spice. Its velvety tannins make it perfect with cold cuts or any grilled, tasty meats.
