Cedar Rose Vineyards, Blaufränkisch 2016, Outer Coastal Plain, New Jersey
Tasting Note: A lively, mouthwatering blaufränkisch.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blueberry, red cherry, red currant, black plum and leather with hints of dried mushroom and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied blaufränkisch has medium-plus-intensity, red-and-black fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and slightly-grippy, medium tannin.
The wine has depth and good balance between the fruit and acid structure.

Bottle Note: Each fall we grow restless as harvest approaches. What will nature bring us this year? Our unpredictable weather makes each growing season unique, demanding creativity in tough vintages. But in the best years, harmonic conditions elevate grape quality to its zenith. When made with focus on a varietal character and terroir expression, the resulting wine tells the story of its vintage. Treasure these wines. The story is lost as the last bottle is opened. We hope you enjoy our handcrafted wine. Cheers! Dustin, Steve, Robert.
