Chalk Hill Estate Winery, Estate Chardonnay 2016, Chalk Hill, Sonoma, California
Tasting Note: A chardonnay with depth of flavor and a sunny, golden character with just a hint of baking spice to add to the complexity.
Medium-intensity gold in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of golden apple, quince, blossom, white nectarine, marmalade, brioche and clove baking spice.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied chardonnay has ripe, medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a long finish.
The wine has a creamy texture, midpalate complexity and a restrained sense of itself while delivering on the palate.
