Chalk Hill, Pinot Noir 2017, Sonoma Coast, California
Tasting Note: A supple pinot noir with just-ripened red fruit.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red plum, red cherry, strawberry, cranberry and red currant with hints of hibiscus.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied pinot noir has medium-intensity, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium tannin ultimately completing with a medium-plus finish.
A good, mostly-straightforward, Sonoma-Coast pinot noir that could be just as at home paired with red meats as white meats or umami-rich dishes.
