Charles Bailly, Crémant de Bourgogne Brut, Burgundy, France
Tasting Note: A simple, straightforward crémant.
Pale-intensity lemon-green in color with tight, persistent bubbles, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of green apple, bosc pear, honeysuckle and lemon citrus.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied crémant has medium-minus flavor intensity supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a short finish.
The sparkling wine is steely in texture and would make a nice base for a Bellini.
Bottle Note: This wine was produced according to the strict rules of the Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée Crémant de Bourgogne, then aged on the lees for 12 months minimum. Its color is pale and shiny with fine bubble. Its nose is fresh and fruity with aromas of almonds and white flowers. Its palate is harmonious and generous. Serve chilled between 6 and 8°C.
