Tasting Note: A classic Anjou red blend with cabernet franc leading the mix and showing the qualities the grape is known to express in the region.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic noose of red cherry, wet leaves, black plum, green vegetable, damp forest floor and pencil shavings.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied wine show tart yet concentrated red and black fruit suggested on the nose along with hints of violet.

The wine is medium-plus in acidity, ripe, grippy tannin as well as in finish.

There is mid-palate complexity and balance between the wine’s restrained fruit and tannin.

Would work well with a host of dishes which is why this versatile wine is so widely featured by the glass in bistros in France.
