Château Larroque, Bordeaux Supérieur 2015, France
Tasting Note: A Bordeaux Supérieur that would be a welcome, better-than-basic-Bordeaux addition to any meal.
Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-intensity nose of black plum, crushed-dried violet blossom and red cherry with hints of red currant and blackberry.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied red blend has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium finish.
The midpalate is respectable, reserved and filled with supple red fruit.
A Bordeaux to repeat.
Bottle Note: 63% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc. Eat: Read meats, cheeses. Age: Ideally within 15 years. Temperature: Best served 60-65°F.
