Chateau Los Boldos, Cuvée Tradition Carmenere 2014, Rapel Valley, Chile
Tasting Note: Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of black plum, black cherry, vanilla baking spice and green-pepper leaf notes as is common for the grape variety in Chile.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied carmenere expresses flavors suggested on the nose supported by ripe, velvety, medium-plus tannin.
The wine is smooth in texture and presents the grape in a reserved, rather than over-ripe style.
There is some mid-palate complexity and flavor intensity on the medium finish.
Bottle Note: Cuvée Tradition is one of Chateau line’s wines made of grapes entirely sourced from our own vineyards in Requínoa, Cachapoal Andes. Fruit softness and a careful vinification give birth to this noble wine. It is aged in casks for 6 months. Cuvée Tradition, unique personality made of 100% pure varietal.
