Ferraton Père & Fils, La Source St. Joseph 2015, Rhone, France

Tasting Note: A Saint Joseph syrah that pleases the senses.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has a medium-plus-intensity, aromatic nose of raspberry puree, blackberry-and-strawberry compote, boysenberry with hints of leather, bacon fat and clove baking spice.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied syrah has slightly-restrained flavors suggested on the nose.

The wine is smooth in texture with ripe, medium-plus tannin supported by medium acidity.

There is red-berry-infused midpalate complexity that ultimately completes with a medium-plus, black-fruit finish.

A decidedly ahead-of-the-pack, St. Joseph syrah.

Bottle Note: In the beginning, there was a region: The Rhone Valley. In 1946, there was a man with passion: Jean Ferraton. Today, our team is committed to ensuring the continuation of the knowledge. With the greatest respect for the “Terroir” and the vine.
