Cockburn’s, No. 1 Special Reserve Port, Portugal

Tasting Note: A Port with lively black fruit and all of Port’s classic elements rolled up into one.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blackberry jam, raspberry puree, black plum, red cherry, raisin, strawberry and hibiscus.

On the palate the medium-sweet, medium-plus-bodied Port has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose ultimately completing with a black-plum-forward, medium-plus finish.

The wine has a slightly creamy texture on the attack and with a plush mouthfeel towards the end of the taste.

A nice Port to have on hand to please both Port lovers and Port newbies in your midst.
