Tasting Note: A silky, Douro red blend that oozes with black fruit and opulence.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of raspberry puree, blackberry, black plum, rhubarb, black currant, black olive and leather.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied red blend has medium-plus-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium tannin ultimately completing with a long finish.

There is midpalate complexity and a suppleness of texture.

Another impressive Douro blend to add to the list.

Bottle Note: From the Pombal Vineyard at the heart of the legendary Vesuvio Estate. Quinta do Vesuvio is one the greatest estates of the Douro, it’s magnificent house, chapel and winery were built in 1827. Pombal do Vesuvio comes from the vineyards that surround the ancient dovecote situated at 200 meters, at the heart of this beautiful and remove property.
