Concha Y Toro, Casillero del Diablo, Reserve Carmenere 2016, Central Valley, Chile
Tasting Note: A carmenere that articulates the grape’s classic notes.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of black plum, black cherry and kirsch with hints of lavender and fennel.
On the palate, the dry, medium-bodied wine presents tart, black fruit, supported by medium acidity and tannin.
This wine would pair well with grilled meats and smoked dishes.
Bottle Note: Winemaker’s Note – Chocolate, coffee and spice combine with raspberries and blackberries in this carmenere, Chile’s very own grape. Food Match – Perfect for tasty winter stews or grilled summer barbeques.
