Cune Viña Real Crianza Rioja 2011, Spain

Tasting Note: A moderate, pucker-worthy tempranillo that presents soft red fruit.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has a nose of green vegetables and plum fruit.

On the palate the dry Rioja has flavors of tar, smoke and strawberry jam supported by medium-plus acidity and medium-plus tannin.

Tart red fruit shows through on the attack through to the finish.

Bottle Note: Viña Real Crianza is produced from a selection of tempranillo grapes, hand harvested from vineyards located in the villages of Laguardia and Elciego (Alava). It ages for a minimum of 12 months in French and American oak casks and rests some months in the bottle before being released.
