Domaine Béguineries, Éveil des Sens Chinon 2018, Loire, France

Tasting Note: A svelte Chinon that shows cabernet franc’s concentrated, yet restrained elegance.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, graphite, red cherry, pencil shavings, violet blossom, dried raspberry and black tea.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied cabernet franc has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and well-integrated, medium tannin.

There is midpalate complexity and flavor intensity without being showy.

Cabernet franc lovers in your life will appreciate, and other guests at your table will too.
